PRE-TRAVEL CONSULTATION

The traveler will have his/her medical history and immunization history reviewed with a physician experienced in treating diseases that travelers might encounter who will then make recommendations regarding vaccinations and medicine prophylaxis based on the health risks of the area to be visited. In addition, the traveler will be instructed how to care for some common medical problems he/she might encounter and what to do if a serious or life threatening situation arises. The cost will be $75.

WE NEED THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:

*Health status - medical conditions, medicines, allergies, and immunization history

*Complete and detailed itinerary

*Purpose of trip (business, beach vacation, mountain climbing, or embarking on a safari or wilderness adventure)

*Setting of the trip (urban, rural, wilderness)

*Style of travel (First class resort, local housing, or tent)

*Traveler's personality (are you content to eat only "safe foods," or are you the type to try anything, such as tempting treats from a street vendor's cart?

If you require a certification that you are mentally or physically able to participate in adventurious travel, you must schedule a complete medical evaluation which requires more time and a different fee schedule.
